Thank you
for your interest in offering a home to one of our available pets. These pets come to us as owner surrenders
either because of divorce, a move, other pet in compatibility or a whole host of other reasons, as well as from local county
and city animal control facilities and humane associations when space is limited, time is up or the particular pet is not
doing well in their shelter environment..
Once these pets come into rescue they are evaluated for temperament and behavior, spayed/neutered,
vaccinated and microchipped in addition to having any apparent health concerns addresses and treated. The animals live
in foster homes during their time with us, we do not have a "shelter" location nor do we have set business hours.
Once it looks as if we may have match for you, you will be put in touch with the foster parents and together can arrange
a time and location to meet.
The animals we bring
into rescue are extremely important to us, and it is our number one goal to ensure they are paired up with the right adopter
to prevent any farther displacements or trauma in their lives. In consideration of this, please be patient
with our adoption process and be prepared for the following..
1.
We MUST have a completed adoption application from you to get a good idea of your circumstances
in order to make a good match
2.
Once your application is in and we have a pet that looks like it may be a match, we will call
or email you to discuss this pet farther with you.
3.
If all parties agree it looks like a good fit, we will next set you up a time to meet this pet
in its foster environment.
4.
If the initial meeting goes well we will then make plans to begin an adoption, this may include
a home visit (we come to your home) to introduce the new pet to your current household members and pets prior to adoption.
We may also ask for references at this point.
5.
An adoption contract will be signed by all parties once everyone is agreeable to the adoption,
a microchip form will be filled out to switch that pet into your name, and you will receive copies of all veterinary and shot
records as well as a leash and collar if you do not have one available. Please expect to pay the adoption
fee at this time. Now you have a new furry family member!!
